FEMI-CZ RRD: IL XV ROSSOBLÙ PER LA TRASFERTA A CARDIFF
La Femi-Cz Rugby Rovigo Delta si appresta ad affrontare la penultima giornata di
European Rugby Challenge Cup contro i Cardiff Blues, venerdì 16 gennaio
2015 alle ore 19:30 locali al “Cardiff Arms Park”.
La scelta della formazione rossoblù per la sfida in terra gallese è praticamente
obbligata, poiché a disposizione vi sono solo 9 trequarti, 3 seconde linee e 4
terze linee.
Questo, quindi, il XV annunciato dall’head coach Filippo Frati: Basson,
Pavanello, Menon, Van Niekerk, Lubian L., Rodriguez, Frati, Zanini, Lubian E.,
Caffini, Montauriol (cap), Maran, Ravalle, Ceccato, Quaglio. A disposizione:
Mahoney, Balboni, Pozzi, Riedo, Ruffolo, Bronzini, Majstorovic, Manghi.
Ventiquattresimo: Farolini.
“Sarà una partita durissima – è il commento dell’allenatore Filippo Frati – Il
fatto che arriviamo da un match in cui abbiamo dovuto fare solamente 40
placcaggi e giocato un tempo effettivo di 22 minuti e 48 secondi non ci aiuta,
per esempio i Blues nelle ultime tre partite hanno fatto 151, 102 e 152
placcaggi e hanno giocato una media di 41 minuti a partita. Questi numeri ci
dicono, e non lo scopriamo sicuramente oggi, che i nostri avversari sono
abituati a praticare un altro sport. Uno sport che vogliamo giocare anche noi e
dovremo quindi farci trovare pronti per questa importante opportunità. A Rovigo
abbiamo disputato contro i Blues una delle nostre migliori partite della
stagione ma sappiamo che a casa loro sarà molto più complicato, a cominciare dal
fatto che si giocherà su un terreno in sintetico, una superficie che favorisce
le squadre che cercano ritmo, velocità ed intensità, ed è in quella direzione
che stiamo preparando la partita”.

The Femi-CZ Rugby Rovigo Delta is going to face the penultimate round of
European Challenge Cup against Cardiff Blues: Friday, January 16, 2015 at
19:30 local at the “Cardiff Arms Park”.
The choice of the red-and-blue team for the challenge in Welsh is practically
forced, because available there are only 9 backs, 3 second row forwards and 4
back row forwards.

“The game will be very hard – says coach Filippo Frati – The fact that we come
from a match in which we had to make only 40 tackles and played an actual time
of 22 minutes and 48 seconds doesn’t help us, as opposed the Blues in the last
three games have made 151, 102 and 152 tackles and play an average of 41 minutes
per game. These numbers tell us, and we certainly don’t discover today, that our
opponents are accustomed to playing another sport. A sport that we want to play
ourselves and then we’ll have to be ready for this important opportunity. In
Rovigo we played against the Blues one of our best games of the season, but we
know it will be much more complicated at their home, first of all because we’ll
play on a synthetic field, a surface that favors teams looking rhythm, speed and
intensity: we are preparing the match in that way”.
